Plage du Grand Travers is a nice beach near Montpellier. It is not too wide, yet several miles long, so although it gets quite busy it is still easy to find a nice spot. The water is clear, but currently still relatively cold. Great for cooling off though. On a busy day parking next to the road gets very hectic.

Jul 2017 • Couples. This is the only beach in the area where dogs are allowed. It's beach access # 60, almost right across from car parking. It's very well maintained and - believe it or not - clean, and therefore also a lot of dog-less people can be found here enjoying beach life. Written 14 September 2017.
